Workday Dates

It is worth bringing a drink and something to eat on workdays

IF IT IS REALLY BAD WEATHER THE WORKDAY WILL BE CANCELLED – NO FUN GETTING SOAKING WET!!!!

Future workdays are shown in the box on the right. I will always try and have the next three showing. I am trying to alternate with a week-day, and a weekend-day, so that everyone gets the chance to get involved.

Most of the work is scrub clearance from September to March. This changes to cutting back any scrub that encroaches onto the path from April to August and just general tidying and litter-picks.

Look forward to seeing you there.

Next date? I missed the last two, (during college break), because I didn’t know they were on until after the event.

I manage a 30 strong engineering team for Network Rail based in Rugby. As part of my team engagement programme, I would like to organise a Community Day associated with a team building activity. Is there anything we could do for your worth while organisation?

    • Paul says:

Hi, yes, there is an area just down from where we are working, that needs clearing and joining up with the area that we have cleared. Wellies/boots and strong gardening gloves are a must. Clearance can only take place between September and March, due to the bird nesting season.

Do you do work on weekends and if so when?

Just wondered if you have considered approaching the unpaid work section of Warwickshire Probation to see if they can assist with some of the manual work? The workers are supervised and risk assessed, but i would think that this would be an ideal project

    • Paul says:

Sorry in the delay in replying. I did consider this once but never followed it through. Would they have their own tools and equipment?

  5. Howard says:

Paul (and a few other cyclists – probably not everyone because we only have a small room… although having “too many” people might get us a bigger room/voice next time),
FYI, the next meeting of the Rugby Cycle Forum is at 6pm on Wednesday 21st September 2016 in Committee Room 1 at the Town Hall.

After the Task Day training, will there be the usual monthly workday (~1-3:30pm) on Sunday 11th December?

    • Paul says:

Yes, it will be at Berrybanks. The last little bit between the underpass and where we were last working. Just clearing out that last little bit.

  7. Howard says:

I tried M&J but theirs got worn out and hadn’t been replaced

Hi Howard, I don’t have such a thing, but could probably do with something like it in the future.
